Steelers Training Camp - Let The Circus Begin!
Its that day that all Steelers fans always seem to know. July 25th...the 1st day of training camp. Its the time when you see all these gigantic men showing up in smart cars, golf carts, or like Brett Keisel who has reported to training camp this year in a tractor. Nice ride for "the beard". Not only is it a circus for the players arriving, but the media becomes crazy at this time. The most talk that is coming from camp this year is whether or not Mike Wallace with show...as of right now it doesn't look like he will (as I predicted in my post yesterday). Not only is the media going nuts about Wallace being a possible no-show at camp, but they always ask the ridiculous questions about food, bedding choices, and what the players are going to do in their free time. Enough with the stupid questions already! Tomorrow is when the real circus starts, as the 90 man camp roster slowly gets taken down to 53. Talk about pressure on the players, and then throw in the fact that thousands of Steelers fans will flock to Latrobe like a mass exodus, and you have yourself a nice 3-ring circus there in the Western PA countryside. I am happy that the Steelers still go to St. Vincent and give the fans a chance to not only get a up close and personal look at practice, but a chance to see the players and get some autographs. Teams like the Baltimore Ravens didn't report to their College last year due to the lockout, and haven't returned. I can only imagine what the fans must think when an NFL franchise decides to stick it to their fan base like that...but what do you expect from the Ravens right? I hope everyone is as excited as I am for the upcoming football season.

Is anyone really surprised the Rat Birds stuck it to their fans? I'm not. I just hope everyone makes it through camp and the preseason healthy.
