2013-2014 Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction Special

What will this season hold for the Steelers? I tell you...
Well, I debated on whether or not I would do this again...but here I am typing away another season prediction special for all my readers (all 3 of you out there in cyber space).  I will run down each of the Steelers 16 games and tell you why I feel that game will be a win or a loss...then an overall season prediction.  If you follow me on Twitter (@BnGBlitz) then you already know my overall season prediction.  Now I get a chance to show you how I see that record coming to fruition (woah...someone got out the thesaurus this morning).

Week 1 - vs. Tennessee Titans - W - Mike Tomlin has never lost an opener at home, and I don't see him starting now.  The Steelers offense and defense have too many playmakers for Jake Locker and company.

Week 2 - @ Cincinnati Bengals - L - Ben Roethlisberger plays well in Ohio, but this is a game that these young Steelers might not be ready for.  I see them splitting with the Bengals in their season series.

Week 3 - vs Chicago Bears - W - The Steelers should improve their play at home this season, and the Bears are a team that the Steelers set up well against.  Jay Cutler and company might be in for a long day.

Week 4 - @ Minnesota Vikings (London) - W - The Steelers are good at stopping the run, but Adrian Peterson is a different beast.  I think Ponder will be the one that will ultimately lose the game for the Vikings as Big Ben and Big Ben (I couldn't resist) make a perfect team.

Week 5 - BYE - Another flippin' early bye...thanks NFL

Week 6 - @ New York Jets - W - The Jets are in disarray, and the Steelers will take advantage of whatever QB they throw out there.  Geno Smith, Mark Sanchez, Joe Namath...doesn't matter.

Week 7 - vs Baltimore Ravens - L - The Steelers will split with the Ravens just like they will with the Ravens.  For some reason I see them losing at home to the Ratbirds.

Week 8 - @ Oakland Raiders - W - Yes, thats right...the Steelers will break their streak of losing in the "Black Hole" by going across country and bringing home a 'W'.

Week 9 - @ New England Patriots - L - Tom Brady doesn't need Wes Welker, or Rob Gronkowski, or Troy Brown to cause the Steelers fits.  This will be a close one, but will go to New England.

Week 10 - vs Buffalo Bills - W - The Steelers typically feast on rookie QBs, and with the Bills QB situation...that makes things promising for a win as the Steelers come back to Heinz Field.

Week 11 - vs Detroit Lions - L - Matthew Stafford to Calvin Johnson scares me to death against our cornerbacks.  If those 2 players stay healthy...it could mean problems for the Steelers.

Week 12 - @ Cleveland Browns - W - I think the Steelers sweep the Browns this year...why?  Because they are the Browns.

Week 13 - @ Baltimore Ravens - W - The Steelers split with the Ravens with the traveling team winning on both occasions.

Week 14 - vs Miami Dolphins - W - Mike Wallace returns to Heinz Field...to a rude welcome.

Week 15 - vs Cincinnati Bengals - W - I will be at this game...so they better win!  I have the Steelers splitting with the Bengals just like the Ravens, and I think the Steelers will be better in the 2nd half than the first.

Week 16 - @ Green Bay Packers - L - The Steelers don't match up well agains the Packers, and with Eddie Lacy it could be a long day.

Week 17 - vs Cleveland Browns - W - The Steelers seem to always end the year with the Browns.  Hopefully the starters will get some rest for the playoffs during this week.

Overall Record - 11-5 - This was actually improved from my original 10-6 record.  I try to be as objective as possible, but I see the Steelers being alot better than alot of people realize.  The Chicago game in Week 3 is the game that could go either way, in my opinion. So, whats YOUR prediction?  Leave it below in the comment section, or hit me up on Twitter.
